My wife was watching videos of puppies on her iPad and Rex got all interested and what-not.
I love this! Check it out!
Have you seen this? It's "Awesome" to "Quite-Awesome".
Sony Pictures had an auction of hundreds of props from "Breaking Bad", including the bell on the old man's wheelchair, Walter Whites tighty-whiteys, the book Hank found on the back of Walt's toilet and more. Here are the items I won! Check out this video!
You can see PHOTOS HERE and check out the Jesse Pinkman watch I won too!
What a great weekend! Susan and I went out to dinner on Friday to Seven Steakhouse. I'd never been there before and it was probably the best steak I'd ever had! (No, they're not paying me or giving me free meals to say this!) It was just awesome.
Next day, the Gophers won! They're now 8 and 2 which is their best record in a LONG time! It's so good to see them kicking ass and the students really into them!
I also ran 5 miles on Saturday, which with 4 miles today, totals 20.3 miles for the week. Most I've run in a long time.
You'll make fun of me for this part, but I spent probably 6 hours working on this jigsaw puzzle. It's airplanes, so I love that, and I'd forgotten how relaxing doing a puzzle is. For me, I literally can't think of anything else while I'm doing it so it's a big stress-reliever.
Saturday we also treated ourselves to Buffalo Wild Wings cuz we've been doing our best to eat healthy and lose weight this week.
Saturday night we watched "Argo" which was good, not great, but gave us the line, "Argo @#$% yourself!"
Sunday I put up lights in the tree in our front yard. Usually it looks like crap when I'm done but this year I wound the lights around the trunk as high as I could THEN wound the lights around the tree. It makes it look about a million times better.
I also played catch with Carson outside and I have a new rule for myself. HE gets to decide when we're done, rather than me saying, "Okay, that's enough for now, buddy." Shoot, in a few years, he's not even going to ask me to play catch with him!
Right now, my Broncos are on and it looks like they're going to win. And tonight there's a show on TV about the Kennedy Assassination which I've always been obsessed with.
So that's my weekend! Hope you had a good one too!
AND, as promised, here's the tip on how to prioritize the things you have to do every day. I didn't write it, FYI. This guy did.
Here's basically what it's all about:
Your to-do list may be keeping you from accomplishing great things. A new productivity idea for you to consider is called The Pareto Principle.
It's based on an Italian guy named Pareto who in 1906 noticed that 80% of the land in
Right now, the not-important items on your to-do list are weighted equally with the life-and-death-importance items. You may have your tasks prioritized from most important to least important, but there are important tasks that you can't do because of limitations on your time/effort/resources and you can easily waste time spinning your wheels going nowhere on those.
For your next "to do" list, prioritize each item by the time/effort/resources required (1 to 10, with 1 being the least) and the potential positive results (1 to 10, with 10 being the biggest bang for your
Now divide results by effort and that's your new priority. PRIORITIES = EFFORT/RESULT
Write back individual friends on Facebook .
Write out a detailed shopping list before you go to Rainbow.
Spend some time with your kids and teach them a new skill.
In this list, you would do the last item first, the second item second and the first Facebook item last - or maybe you wouldn't do it at all. Try it for a week as you plan your day and notice what difference it makes for you.
